Applied Research and Evaluation team welcomes Obafemi O. Ogunleye

The Applied Research and Evaluation team welcomed a new member on September 24. In his graduate research assistant role, Obafemi O. Ogunleye will support EFNEP in continuing the development and use of the EFNEP food recall app.

Obafemi is a 2nd year doctoral student in the College of Education & Human Development under the Comparative & International Development Education program track. His research broadly explores the role of higher education institutions as sites of transformative development with a regional focus on West Africa.

He holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with a concentration in Higher Education Administration and a bachelor’s in International Business. Obafemi is pursuing a minor in program evaluation because of his interest in supporting the work of educational organizations through evidence-based research. In addition, he is an instructor for the undergraduate, Introduction to Project Management course, where he trains students on the fundamentals of managing real-world projects. Apart from school and work, Obafemi is an arts enthusiast and enjoys engaging with visual and performing arts.
